Questions about plans

What happens when the 30-day trial ends?
You move to Free automatically. We send one reminder on day 25, and that's all. Nothing is deleted or locked: your books stay editable, earlier versions of your materials are kept (just hidden), and forwarded email keeps arriving safely, waiting to be sorted if you ever upgrade.
Do I need a card for the trial?
No. Every new account gets 30 days of Plus with no card and nothing to cancel.
What's the founding writer offer?
The first 200 writers who pay for Plus get it for $5 a month, for as long as they stay subscribed. The count on this page is the real number of places left; when they're gone, the offer disappears.
How do I cancel?
Settings → Plan and billing → Manage or cancel. Two clicks, no questions. Plus stays until the end of the period you've paid for, then you're on Free.
What about tax?
In the US, prices are shown before sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. In the EU and UK, prices include VAT. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card.
Will Free get worse over time?
No. Free is everything you need to track your querying yourself, and it stays that way. Plus pays for QueryTrenches doing the watching for you.
